Worse. A team of pilots who think they are IT pros.
I can see them sitting around the table convincing themsevels that Mission- and miCrew and the growing list of disjointed and distracting apps on the EFB are cutting edge.
but seriously, the number of apps to access every flight is absurd. When is the FAA going to step in?
somehow we managed to function with only jepp charts for decades.

Going from SkyWest IT to DL was the biggest real life example of "the grass isn't always greener". I mean, I'm gonna wipe my tears with my much bigger paycheck, but I'm still gonna cry.

So now I do nothing until I’ve been told multiple times or I start getting in trouble. 99 times out of 100, everything works out juuuust fiiiine. DO NOTHING!

IT programs over there were definitely nicer. We had app-integrated HTML releases, digital maintenance logs, and nicely formatted time cards by the time I left. Everything beyond those items, however, is way nicer here.

Over 20 years in the military, this is how I learned to deal with micro-managers. Do nothing. See they are full of “great ideas” that you should get working on immediately. But they have very little follow through. They’ve forgotten all about it by the time you’re half way done with their little project.

Edit: Found a discussion on sky hub. Apparently if you have larger text enabled the new version doesn’t work. Now mine works but I need my glasses to read anything on my phone 🤦♂️
