We had reroute pay back then. That's soft pay. The point is if you're not bird digging your pay all the time and smashing that "big red button" hoping to eventually get that soft pay, what's the point.
When was the last time they shorted you on your hourly rate? It's easy, flat and pretty black and white. I'm am and always be a rates guy. Color me purple or whatever, don't care.

The other soft pay is correct the vast majority of the time, adjusting itself in real time as situations change. If you think EDP or SIT or CARVE are as problematic as RR pay, then you’re not in tune with what’s going on. (Standard disclaimer for peoples anecdotes and outlier stories).

RR pay, which affects all categories, is by far the overwhelming complaint requiring the big red button.

Maybe this summer for you folks on the NB fleets will tell a different story. Guess we'll find out in October after the summer flying is done

oh I’m pretty sure we gonna get beat up this summer. Like every summer. But it’ll pay a flip ton more when it happens.

As for the rest of the soft pay, it's easy to calculate and so far for myself, correct every time. It is also significant.

Agree with this statement. RR pay is by far the most enigmatic. And yet, it is also probably the biggest soft-pay gain. After the few reroutes I have recieved, once the dust settles and the pay comes, I cannot wait for my next reroute and the $$$ that comes with it.

Get a reroute on the final leg/turn of a trip and check back here after.

That would depend on whether the rate of reroutes has gone up or down since the new rules. I don't remember the company talking about targeting metrics like "rotations flown as built" before reroutes paid so handsomely.
