I saw that mentioned recently too. I think some of the time they might be working to reduce the "expensive" flying. But most of the time the people wanting to "save" money and the people actually executing the decisions are different and those money saving goals are mostly ignored in the interest of just covering the flying in anyway possible.

It only pays 1.5x on the first day. 2x after that. Plus if it’s the last day, trip credit gets premium as well. Plus if you’re RRed past the limit, that’s a separate 2x calculation that is now additive and not offset by other RR pay.

It turns into a big number, quickly, and I had a trip where RR pay alone was more than the original value of the trip.

As a WB, we don't get RR very often. I've had one since the new contract, and I've got to say that the new rules are huge. Like Whoopsmybad said, it wouldn't have paid didly under the old rules since I was returned home w/in 24hrs of the original release time. (Int'l rules) But it was a change to the trip and I made decent money.

I'm wondering if the 'rotations flown as built'-metric will start to affect bid packs. The quest for pre-month '0-credit', ending up at the end of the month with tons of broken trips, DHs, single-leg days and a lot of credit.

Yeah I got home about 36 hours late from a 3 day and it paid 55 hours in addition to the 15:45 of the original trip.

Stories like these make me wonder if someone in management really regrets some of the language they agreed to...

Senior paid for all of that with the 4th pillar. We know you'll never say thanks, but you're welcome.
