I had one recently where I knew the pilot who had the JS booked, and he made the earlier flight home so he texted me when he canceled his listing. But the gate agent still showed him listed and couldn’t get me into the JS until 15 prior. I even called him to double check and he showed no active listings on his MiCrew.

Curious if some of you all are seeing this on JS reserviations on MiCrew.
I go to MiCrew, search for flights and available jump seats. MiCrew showing JS available for the flight I want. I reserve it. It confirms and shows up under the "Booked" tab. Show up to gate 1hr prior to check in and the agent says someone else is listed for the JS. Check in with CA, they open up MiCrew and my name is there as the JS'er. However, the gate agent will not board me as I am not the listed JS'er on their computer. So wait to see if the other JS'er shows, they never do (becasue I am on listed on the JS). Get the JS. These are not FAA people, the gate agent can see that. One time the other person actually showed up. They showed the JS on MiCrew booked tab and I showed the same (only one JS on this type of aircraft). Gate agent checked the computer and I was listed on the JS. That other pilot was a NH. That time I was able to get on another flight later thanks to the gate agent and I let the NH take the JS so they could get to work (I was going up a day early, their report was that same day).. Have any of you seen this before? It's really strange. Seems like something is goofy between the MiCrew and the gate agents system. Except for the one occasion I listed above, the "other" JS'er never materialized. I book my JS (if required) well in advance, so this is not a last minute type of event. Commuting to work. Get on MiCrew, 1200 Mecca time 3 1/2 days prior. Select flight, shows 2 jumpseats available. I select, go through the normal “not a robot” proof, and it says “Error - Jumpseat is already booked”. Sounds like what you’re describing, but when I get to the gate, agent says no one listed for the jumpseat. That’s been at least a year ago though and no issues since. |

Not EXACTLY the same situation, but similar:

Lucky this hasn’t cost me yet….. |

That would lend me to postulate we have an issue between the MiCrew interface and the gate agents system. Something is not making the connection here and closing the loop.

I suspect once the flight goes to local control jumpseat listings like seat assignments can't be changed unless the agent does it. They take local control 35 to 50 minutes prior.
It's all sent to the JS committee to include all the screen shots. I'll let them dig into it. |

I booked it 3 days prior so that wasn't it either.

A mistake I have made is booking the wrong leg on a flight number covering multiple flights.
Something is jacked up. I hope the JS folks can find out what transpired. |

No mistake made sailing. I have a one leg commute. And I'd really like you to stop pointing out rookie commute mistakes to me. I've been at DAL a loooooong time.

I thought APC was a place for pilots(ostensibly) to come and learn(or at least be presented with lessons learned/history) Not chiding you....but these/this are the types of "lessons" i try to present to my "friends" as possible pitfalls. |
