They knew exactly what they were doing. I’m sure they’d given my more modest DAL negotiated room to someone else and offered the “upgrade” to a chump…me.

So glad the pilot force is being replaced with cool and hip pilots. I haven't noticed their shoes though, can't get past seeing their whole sock exposed.
