Im guessing you dont have size 13 or 14 running shoes sitting in a 22" purse with wheels.

He said it in the last sentence. He needs room to bring home the wine.

Bump for 2026.

LHR just started hating on the 26" LW so am thinking of the B&R Essential 22" 2-wheel. Any updates on the J-hook? Or perhaps the 22" LW Suiter with the suit panels removed to lighten the load. Any comments/opinions on these two bags? How has the B&R bags held up to the wear and tear?

I looked at Perks and we get 20% off of up to three items for B&R. I've looked at Costco but they don't have the Essential. Any other good deals/prices on the B&R? (yes, cheap pilot.)

No, I don't have any Darth Vader requirements like CX, but I do like to have some 'non-layover-looking layover clothes.

I’ve had the essential for about 2 months and it’s been working fine for 6 day trips and I pack 4 sets of workout clothes . The compression feature is quite useful.

How does that bag compare to the LW 26" as far as capacity?

I have been using the B&R Essential 22" 2-wheel since Jan 2025....WB up to 6 day trips....love the expansion feature.

B&R didn't have the J hook as an option last year so I took the TUMI J hook and just threaded it into the T bar attachment that B&R offered at the time....works fine.

I fly int'l

I use the 22" B&R. It's expandable. It's the 2 wheeler. Order the "j-hooks" - they are not really J-hooks it's a strap with a buckle type thing. It's snaps into a fitting on the top of the bag, stays pretty good there. As long as you're not strapping a dead body in it it works well. I would order 2 of the straps just in case (I think they are like $16 each).

It has a zippered tri-fold thing inside the top that works well for shirts and pants. I carry one extra uniform shirt, a semi-dress shirt and a pair of long pants in that thing. It works well and the trifold set-up surprisingly keeps them from getting terribly wrinkled.

I like the bag, it works pretty well. You can pack quite a bit of stuff in it as it is well laid out.
