I had a senior mama once who picked up a domestic turn who legit asked why I didn't send her the FA brief via email.

Me: nobody does that domestic
Her: *genuine shock*

+1. Had a FA push back pickup (on their own, no less) less than 30 mins, and put it in FF. When I queried them how they knew Pickup got delayed (I had reported on time), they said “Oh, I did that. <sideye> I put in flight family..”. As if I ever check FF on a layover. Ever.

WTAF?

tossing the high notes of the brief in there really reduces miscommunication from the game of telephone through the a-line, in my experience. i’ll often do so and get great feedback on it.

Wait, people are briefing the FAs via text and email? Not crapping on it, I've just never seen or heard of it. Is it a text on FF?

I don't see Cbreezys post as a flex. I
almost never look at M+ until I'm in the cockpit. It's just never occurred to me to do it any earlier.

Agreed, even when I flew international I never saw a FA brief via email or text. What in the world was I missing?!?

And no Breezy isn’t flexing at all. Sorry, if I got scheduled a 1:05 turn and I have to swap planes, or grab food, or whatever, I’m not looking at anything until I get in my seat. For sure not standing at a gate or walking through a terminal. Or as I said in a previous post, if I’m in CA or SA on the van and it’s there, maybe I’ll look then.

An email or text for a FA brief.
Well now that really sets up CRM with the FAs.
Sigh……

every time i’ve seen it, it’s a supplement to a normal briefing. just putting it all in writing in case the cabin crew forgets some of it
