But that isn’t the full story about it, is it?

He don’t see.

I say we trade payback days for positive space commuting and additional bases. PB days do me no good as a commuter, and it will take substantial negotiating capital to keep them.

While I agree with that logic. But what exactly would anyone think they can put in the contract to force the company to open and staff other bases?

Well,...I guess we would see just how badly the company wants to get rid of PB days wouldn't we.

All I know is when I retire (which is coming soon), I'm deleting everything delta related; union emails, contract stuff, etc. all of it. Gone. I'm done, never looking back.

I'm putting a new trolling motor on the boat and will be gone. I'm going to enjoy my retirement.

I thought a good “concession” would be to give away the ability to bid to a new base if you still are within your 24mo seat lock. Could make it easier for the company to plan better? This being a concession means we could trade it for some other positive as well as incentivizing new base… win win in theory

Tubing VBs was an uncharacteristically wise strategic move on DALPA's part.

And they weren't "new bases." They could perpetually float and hose permanent base pilots to an unknown but definitely negative degree.
