Not necessarily…….technology can cause a major disconnect in one’s situational awareness. Sometimes it’s too much.

It’s not like the radar on the 717 is that great to begin with. On some jets it works decent and then on others you wonder if it’s even working. Widget Wx and a look at my radar app on my phone gives me a ton of SA before and during the flight.
