Didn't someone (non DAL) get stabbed in the lobby of the HI?

I've stayed at most hotels on VA during my time at DAL. Get us off that %&^%& street and away from that area, Delta.

On a side note, the Crowne Plaza has turned into the Sonesta North. It is one of the crewtel hotels where they provide a good crew rate. I stayed there recently as a commuter and I have to say, it's actually a pretty decent hotel. They redid all the rooms and the beds are really comfortable, plus it's a full hot breakfast buffet included when you use crewtel. Out the door price was ~$105 using the crewtel discount code. I generally prefer the Gateway hotels just for ease of not having to deal with shuttle transportation, but if those are sold out or have rates jacked through the roof the Sonesta North is a good option.

Yes, good point, I was thinking of the other Crowne by the gas station.

Yes, and it didn't happen just once.

That’s the same one (it’s no longer a Crowne).

As was said, it’s the same hotel building. When we pulled out it was the Crowne, which was then later rebranded as the Sonesta North.

And remember the holiday inn north by the cemetery? What a trip. They tried so hard to make it nicer, but it is no better than the motel 6 still.

Weird, I was in training there when it happened and spoke with the pilot. Maybe he made it up and they moved everyone to the other side of the hotel for no reason.

Or perhaps it keeps on happening and Delta refuses to admit the area is the problem.

There was a stabbing in the Holiday inn. The front desk was also robbed. All 3 happened near the shooting time frame. We left the hotel shortly after.
