The second denial from the company process the union allows bugs me. You file that greivance. Every pay issue becomes a full grievance until the company comes to the table weekly and fixes these pay mistakes and with a GD apology too.
Its been 5 years. 2026 should have 17k formal grievances
(i removed most of the cursing, but use your imagination and add about 8 curses in there)

My experience with crew assist -
1. Time in queue seems to depend on pay issue drop down choice chosen. No idea why.
2. Can not submit same report second time until company closes it first time. (Not saying you can’t submit another report on same issue, but that will go to end of queue so doesn’t really help)
3. STS can only be submitted successfully after a second denial from company.

2. correct...I wasn't saying to submit a 2nd separate report....I was just saying don't bother with the 2nd look
3. incorrect....you 100% can submit STS without the 2nd denial...I've done it....what you can't do is submit STS while the case is open....1st or 2nd look. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, wait for the 1st review to get denied, submit STS, *then* submit 2nd review in crew assist.

Individual pay discrepancies are a completely different animal though. I doubt ALPA will ever agree to a settlement of pay errors en masse, nor should they.

That's if we agree to it, which, doubtful. My reps certainly aren't for it. Especially with the amount of them and how brazen so many of them are.

1. yes because depending on your drop down choice routes the crew assist case to different department.
2. correct...I wasn't saying to submit a 2nd separate report....I was just saying don't bother with the 2nd look
3. incorrect....you 100% can submit STS without the 2nd denial...I've done it....what you can't do is submit STS while the case is open....1st or 2nd look. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, wait for the 1st review to get denied, submit STS, *then* submit 2nd review in crew assist.

The whole crew assist process is completely *UCKED. It's a complete sham and a joke. Even STS is a joke as ALPA submit them and the company doesn't even respond to the submitted STS. At least that is what the reps tell me when I inquire about my 5+ STS that have been "submitted to the company" for close to a year. Apparently they meet with the company face to face and that is the ONLY time anything gets resolved. Maybe it's time to re-think the entire process. Submit 1 report jointly to ALPA/Company and let them duke it out. At least ALPA can probably call BS quickly on their horrible canned denial answers.
