ARCOS just needs to be fixed.

You have a very distorted perception of history here.

What's next? You going to call us racketeers? That's been done already. Nothing you do or say here matters to us. We have pretty much figured out who you are and what your motives are posting on this site.

Oh, the horrors of the 2010’s. Cockpits were filled with pilots who were obtuse enough to pick up the phone AND unable to rattle off one of about 500 different reasons why they couldn’t legally or promptly cover a GS.

I’ve never met a pilot who flew a GS they didn’t want, even back then.

What was wrong with my perception of history? Please enlighten me.

Did trips get cancelled?
Did we have deal makers abrogating seniority?
Did CS have lists of people to call when they were in a pinch?
How much money did pilots lose because they had know idea if they got skipped for a trip due to the above?

For an old system that violated rules left and right and cost pilots money, people sure yearn for the glory days.

A trip pops into open time inside 18 hours
Designating it a SS doesn't do anything.
Running a QS at the earliest opportunity doesn't do anything, the trip sat there running in OOBWS for over 10 hours.
