Three day followed by a one day. Released from the three day for OE (23G5). In the past I’ve only ever picked up over the same footprint. I can’t do that, nothing available, any different pay implications for a a trip trade from the one day to a longer trip that overlaps the released three day?

On the previous one, had to actually get in the car and start the drive to the airport. Once I saw that both pilots had signed in, I called scheduling and they released me. I try very hard to not make it to the actual gate. Stupid waste of time that accomplishes nothing. I’m not a dog.

My LCA for a MEX SAQ said that he can usually get guys released for normal OE, but is 0% on getting guys released before report on SAQs.

LCP's handle releases for TQ's/SAQ's, and this has to be done at the gate/sign-in.
Straight from the Flight Standards Manual. Comply 365.

I can echo some in this thread by saying my releases have been all over the map this calendar year. However, I admit the process appears to be getting easier and CS is doing their part and releasing farther in advance than in years past. Knock on wood but I'm a very senior B in my cat and have never had to report to get released. The worst has been getting released while on my commute flight to base.
Also, to reiterate, I've been told by numerous LCAs they had any ability to release taken from them. When I point out the PWA explicitly grants them the power to do so, they just shrug their shoulders.

Side question from another airline. At Delta, let’s say your trip is canceled, specifically international pairings where it’s 1 leg out 1 leg back. Let’s say 48 hours prior to report. Are you guys able to be reassigned into a new trip or are you pay protected like when you are bought off for OE and released.
