It feels awful to have worked so hard, passed the panel and JKT, only to have my fate rest in the hands of a psychologist. I'm hoping for the best but bracing for the worst.

Going to be a very long couple of weeks while I wait.
If it's any help, it's not just a psychologist on the review board. The way I see it is you have HR and Flight Ops reps on your side, a different psychologist going either way, and an attorney to decide if you're a liability. The outcome is usually good, and at least you know it's probably only a couple of weeks until the next PARB from what I hear.

Had this happen to a good friend. The "pass" rate seems to be pretty high. Odds are certainly in your favor. Good luck!

It is a long couple weeks. The longest. The good news is that when you pass and get on the line and start telling people that you were held up by the PARB, lots of them say "Oh yeah I was too, who wasn't?"

All the folks I know who were held up were great dudes...and all were cleared to train.

2 guys in my interview group got held up and both were cleared. It's a very high pass rate, from what Arnie told us.

Anyone know how common it is to have a great day 1, then take the MMPI 2x and be too "positive" followed by a normal talk with the psychologist? Do they even consider your day 1 performance in the review board? Not sure what they're looking for.

It is easy to tangle yourself up on the MMPI.

Yup. Exact same situation I had. Gut punch. I waited three weeks for the phone call. Cleared. I lost out on two classes ~75 seniority numbers. Big picture is that it's less than one month of new hires 😎

I think they’ve gotten quicker about getting an answer out in the last year or so.
