Came across this little snippet today:
Delta has agreed to extend Pinnacle’s CRJ200 contract by four and a half years, which means it will be saddled with 145 50-seaters that it takes great pains to declare are uneconomical until 2022. This would put the Pinnacle CRJ200 operation alone at well over the 125 cap and over the projected timeline by over four years.. Things that make you go Hmmmm Cheers George |

Q3 There is a rumor that Delta will trade 737-900s for B-717s. Is it true?
A3 No, that rumor is false. Delta will take the first delivery of the 737-900s in late 2013 as planned, and there is no change to the delivery schedule moving forward. How about 737-800 slots? bump...putting my head back in the sand. |

Methinks sacrificial. That leads to thinking Pinnacle is the sacrificial lamb. If Pinnacle is the sacrificial lamb and their CRJ200 operation is bound to be eliminated, we would go from 343 to 200 CRJ200 just like that. That's what Mesa did in Bankruptcy, going from 130 to 76 and eliminating all CRJ200 except for the six in Hawaii for go! Cheers George |

Their DIP financier makes them his beotch. Hence the question sacrificial or exclusive? I think sacrificial as a plan B or plan C, but not neccesarily. |

The first thing that struck me is why Delta would in Pinnacle's Bankruptcy proceedings extend the 50-seater contract from 2015 to 2022.
