St Johns was always my favorite stopping off point in the C-9B heading out over the pond. I remember being in line to fill up my coffee one dark winter evening and the guy in front of me is topping of a thermos.

We start making small talk and he lets me know that he is ferrying a Single engine Cessena over the Atlantic. Talk about some Balls! I was so impressed I even gave him my chocolate chip cookies -Since I had already snagged the last two

Goose Bay was the BEST fuel stop on the way home. Snow drifts piled 30 feet high and spray paint to show you where your wings were...and a damn good chili dog.

I guess when a company earns brand loyalty, they'd like to keep it by improving their product. For example, I love my 1999 Ford F150 4x4 pickup, and plan to get another when it wears out.

It'll interesting to see the impact on Android phones with the latest verdict.

Yes. It's going to be very interesting! I would bet that Steve Jobs dying words were "Kill Google!"

Purdue grad, esteemed pilot, total gentleman. Fellow Boilermaker, we follow you to the sky and beyond.

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

I remember I was signing in with a bunch of other guys for the nightly "highspeed" shift at my previous company (northwest guys know these as "illegals."

I was at the row of computers and someone walks up to the guy next to me and goes "hey, Dave.. where you going to tonight?"

"Well, first I'm going to your mom, then I'm going to Bangor."

Hearty laughter and knee slaps ensued for all within earshot.

Also in, newK just signed up for a gym membership:

It'd just be weird stopping so low. But it's still a lot higher than what Newk would plan for if he'd done it...

Off by one number. Look at the swing wings - must be an F-14.

No.... the airplane is green. Navy planes are green. Therefore, that's an F-15.
