you should see it at his shop down in Savanna. The light really brings out the reflection of the mountains in the rooster tails.

How come the rooster tails touch? Like V-shaped?

I mean I get the rooster tails happening, but were like the engines on the F-16 pointed at each other to give it that effect? Seems odd.

I don't think Bob Ross would've done that. He was Air Force. He'd known.

Wouldn't it be great if 50,000 pilots showed up, in uniform, at his funeral?

Any word on where/when it is?
What an awesome idea.

Our kids need these types of heros.

Ben Rich, in his book about running Skunkworks for Lockheed said after Jimmy Carter was briefed in on stealth he realized the B-1 was already obsolete. Reagan made Carter look soft for cancelling the B-1. However the real difference was that Carter had a Top Secret clearance and Reagan did not. Carter could not talk about the future he knew was coming.

The B-1 was on Nuke alert and the Navy couldn't spare them for conventional bombing in 1991. CCCP and all that.

BTW, Carter cancelling the Bone taught me my first lesson in political parties.

Buzz Aldrin Punch - YouTube
I actually met Buzz Aldrin a few years ago on the set of Fox & Friends. I was honored and told him so. He wasn't very "chatty." I wasn't very "chatty" either as it was 7 AM ET and I was on 4 AM PT. Kind of like me when I'm landing at MCO at 4 AM PT. Not very chatty.

I'm always chatty. You should've met me instead. I'd be chatty.

But that'd be neat to meet Buzz Aldrin.

Or Newk. Or Buzzpat. Or BuckingBar. Or Boomer. Or Timbo. Or 80ktsclevage. Or ACL. Or... this might go on a long long while.

And I'd like to see a Navy B-1.

Since he wrote "Apolo" instead of Apollo, I thought he was referring to Dancing With the Stars.

My favorite Armstrong moment was Gemini 8 when after docking they realized their capsule was out of control and running low (<30%) on fuel. Armstrong manually flew the thing out of orbit and put it in the thing in the alternate ocean.
