Yes, just book it. Live contract chapter 8:
(definitions)
32 6. “On-line transportation” means travel on Delta Air Lines, Inc. and Delta Connection
33 Carriers
in category A operations (i.e., not a prorate agreement).
...... little later on...

22 E. Off-Rotation Deadheads
23
24 1. A regular pilot may utilize an off-rotation deadhead at the beginning or end of a rotation.
25 2. A regular pilot is required to notify Crew Scheduling of an off-rotation deadhead at the
26 beginning of a rotation within the 24 hours preceding the report of the scheduled
27 deadhead segment.

28 3. A reserve pilot may utilize an off-rotation deadhead at the end of a rotation. He may
29 utilize an off-rotation deadhead at the beginning of a rotation only with permission from
30 Crew Scheduling.
31 4. A pilot who utilizes an off-rotation deadhead at the end of a rotation is required to give
32 prior notification to Crew Scheduling. Such notice must be given as soon as possible
33 after the arrival of the pilot’s last flying segment prior to his scheduled deadhead. Such
34 notice will be given via a voice response unit (VRU) or, at pilot option, via a call to Crew
35 Scheduling.
36 5. A pilot who utilizes an off-rotation deadhead at the beginning of a rotation is required to
37 report for duty at the departure airport of the first non-deadhead segment as follows:
38 a. one hour before the scheduled departure time of the first non-deadhead segment
, or
39 b. one hour and 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the first non40
deadhead segment if that segment includes an ocean crossing.
41 6. The maximum on-duty time of a pilot who utilizes an off-rotation deadhead at the
42 beginning of his rotation will be determined using the report in Section 8 E. 5., or, if the
43 pilot is given prior notice, the adjusted time.
44 7. The in-base break-in-duty under Section 12 G. for a pilot who utilizes an off-rotation
45 deadhead at the end of a rotation will be determined using the scheduled release of such
46 rotation.
Section 8 - Deadheading
8-4
8. A pilot who utilizes an off-rotation deadhead to travel from his base, or from a domestic
2 airport or an airport in the Hawaiian Islands (other than his base), in the vicinity of his
3 permanent residence at the beginning of a rotation will be provided positive space on-line
4 transportation if:

5 a. Company Business travel can be booked in TravelNet without overbooking,
6 b. the routing does not pass through the pilot’s base,
7 c. the routing does not exceed the number of deadhead segments originally scheduled,
8 d. the routing is scheduled to arrive at a reasonable time before his required report under
9 Section 8 E. 5., and
10 e. the routing provides for a subsequent flight that is scheduled to arrive at a reasonable
11 time before his required report under Section 8 E. 5. if the pilot’s originally scheduled
12 routing provided for such a subsequent flight.
13 Note one: A pilot who utilizes an off-rotation deadhead under Section 8 E. 8. may
14 attempt his booking at any time within 14 days of the report of his rotation.
15 Note two: A pilot who utilizes an off-rotation deadhead at the beginning of a rotation
16 that does not satisfy the requirements of Section 8 E. 8. will be responsible for his
17 transportation.
18 Note three: A pilot who is provided a positive space reservation for an off-rotation
19 deadhead under Section 8 E. 8. will make every effort to cancel such reservation in
20 TravelNet if the pilot no longer requires or intends to use the reservation.

Well, it looks like there will be an Oct AE. I will eat crow on my whining after the single layer backfilling on the previous one.

Let's hope it's a good one!

Crew Resources Oct update. It's about half way down the page with the other monthly updates.

For those of you looking to see if your category gets an extra X day, it's in the ALV/RLL document on the left hand side.

I will go have to re read the CR Oct Update but I recall a remark about the next AE being this fall/winter. I hope it means there will be one in the fall and one in the winter. Can you cut n' paste the part that siad there WILL be a fall AE?

Nothing really says October AE. Maybe it wil be though and hopefully a positive one this time for all of us.

In October, Network Planning will send us the 2013 plan and we will make our narrow body adjustments with an AE sometime this fall/winter.

First section, 3rd paragraph after the table:

Network will be sending the 2013 plan in October and we did not want to make any narrow body moves on the August bid that we would have to undo as a result of the 2013 plan. Once we receive the Network plan, we will post a bid shortly after.

So, sure... October or maybe November.

I live in that area and use Dr John Tisdall in Bellingham. Very easy. He is an eye doc though, so if you are 'iffy' on the eye portion you might want to make sure the prescription is up to date (if you need one).
