Aw heck Super here is some speculation for ya.

CPS just hired a bunch of instructors for a "decent" amount of hiring that will be going on. Infer as you choose.

considering the rumors I've heard and connected some dots with it could be a good thing.

If not, than it could be a bad thing depending on what happens. With that said, you said a decent amount of hiring and not "training". Therefore it points away from flowbacks. Combine that with cpz being maxxed out per the scope thus meaning no growth on their own, brings on alot of interesting possibilities. We'll see

Is this to increase the training department or for attrition?

Basically every instructor is/was looking to get the hell outta there after they cut their QOL after the move from YUL to MSP. They lost their hotel room, car and are required to work more sim periods per month. They were getting a heck of a deal to commute between their home and YUL, and now CPZ is basically expecting them to live in MSP. Even those living in MSP have said they are looking at the first decent thing to come along...

That is what I was told. Hiring, not training. It is intuitive to think that there would be a lot of training with hiring but not necessarily hiring if there is a lot of training.

We shall see. Just something I was told.

Not sure but there really is no where to go, so take is cheap.

If this is the case, I hope it's because Compass is going away and you guys at Delta are taking these airplanes back and will need to be trained. Regionals need to start evaporating and Compass would be a good start.

Compass has hired 10% of the total pilot group in the last 45 days

Edit, my math was wrong I think it's closer to 8%

Well........
