Thanks for the outside MOD ID's and the process.

Nope, and I've posted as much before, especially right after elections were announced. A free exchange, even by anonymous webboard pseudonyms is preferred. Yet I've had several pm me using "real" names..with one exception (not in this thread) I've never posted any publicly identifiable info, yet I seem to have been identified (though with multiple "real" personalities). How does that happen without mods using IP addresses?

So you've stated that you receive no compensation. Is that true for all the moderators here?

Slow:

I do not know of any mods that are compensated at all. As for myself, only got that gift card a few years back as a thank you. Haven't even used it. No money, no stock no financial interest in APC or Internet Brands. Pure volunteerism.

I answered this question two or three times to the Chairman of C44. I answered it the same way every time it was asked. The rumors of any financial stake are 100% dead wrong and without truth.

On DPA:

Never publicly or privately supported them. Never sent in a card, nor money. Do not believe they are the answer for the Delta Pilots.

On the BBQ: It was a nice day in ATL for a BBQ. Do not follow the DPA web site. Knew of no BBQ. Again C44 Chairman asked me that, and I clarified the statement on here at his request. I rescued two beagle pups that day. That was how nice of a day it was here in ATL that given day.

Thanks for the straight answer.

As I told another poster, this isn't a DPA thread.

but, jeez, man....calling a day in March a nice day for a BBQ that just happens to fall on DPA bbq day? I didn't even have my grill out yet! Even you have to admit that looks bad...and you know it because you say you edited your post.

You think I would have commented like that if I knew there was a dpa cookout that day? Heck it was 80 and sunny that day. It was gorgeous. I cooked t-bones that night. I edited it to include "at home" when the c44 chair advised me of a dpa BBQ. He literally called me while I was getting the pups from the shelter. I agreed with him but laughed at the concidence. Just proof positive that I do not read nor subscribe to their emails.

Johnso and I were discussing the weather and how nice it was. I thought the concern was a little funny but respected his concern. I've been very clear on what path I think is right even if some want to question it.

Slow,

Just how worried are you MEC members about the idea of an alternative to ALPA? This smacks of an Oliver Stone movie.
