Maybe so. I'd hate to see him go because I like his framework. I like his style as a person. With a $7.5M buyout, he will probably be here on more year.

Whatever we do, let's stop swapping from spread to pro and vice versa. Pro style has long term issues though, you stop getting good QBs and WRs. Heck even Bama is thin at QB. Spread is too much like running the blitz on every play, it's hard to win consistently and your defense suffers. But just pick one!

Anyways, Doug, want two interesting stats?

First, Auburn has sent two QBs in 21 years to the NFL draft. Their last season at Auburn the two QBs combined to be 28-0. QB's matter even if they're hard to come by in the SEC.

Second, the average score at the end of the 3rd quarter in the 5 games Auburn lost was 14-11, the worst deficit was 11, the best was a tie with Clemson. In the 4th quarter, they've been outscored 63-3. Youth and inexperience? Sure, but LSU is younger and getting better week-to-week.

oh well, ain't nothing i can do about it but hope for the best.
