Watch for the "pivot"

I think Delta has relatively low costs, while UCAL and LCC labor costs are probably going to jump (if they want to actually have any degree of service at all). In terms of networks and offerings we'd be able to capture revnue as effectively as the other networks.

In an environment with less discipline, as long as Delta isn't stupidly providing the discipline by itself, I would guess we would be competitive, and do well. Valuations for the industry... not so much.

I think the article is based on the call, and the call didn't elaborate. They said (paraphrasing) that they're playing Bombardier against Embraer, that they should have a "better idea" by the end of the year. That they were allowed up to 70 per the TA, that the deal would be over some number less than that, and seemed to suggest it would involve some 50-seat returns.

50 seat returns are high priority... They seem to be looking for any way out of them. I wouldnt expect any specifics for another few months.

;) Probably not.

Was anyone able to find the catch phrase "capacity restraint?". I noticed a lack of that! (although capacity next year is very restrained)

Or "capacity discipline" that seemed to be a common phrase over the last 2 years

So are the 70 jets for Delta pilots to fly or are they going to regionals?

Nice spin attempt.

But just as many of us have been saying since Day 1...this was cost-neutral. Of course we should expect management to try for that.

But not our own "union." We were suckered by DALPA.

Could you please be quiet... the adults are talking here.

Delta pilots fly RJ's? To quote one of my recent Captains... "I don't want to fly RJ's." This was in response to me telling him that the 70 new large RJ's should be flown by Delta pilots. So to answer your question... No. They'll be flown by the regionals, of course.

Youre not missing much. For such a funny username, I would expect better.

Carl was always entertaining to have around with the lively discussion.
