Oh, and this one, WE WILL GROW.
http://www.globalplanesearch.com/mcd.../md_80_all.htm either that or they search Craigslist for "jetliner, bring a trailer." Which, don't get me wrong, is great. It would be better if five years ago I wasn't under the foolish notion that I had entered a long term relationship with a certain Boeing widebody. Kinda like marrying Mila Kunis and waking up with Rosie O'Donnell. I mean, she's a woman and an MD88 is an airplane, sorta. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2756/...75020ee52c.jpg |

sure. if you say so.
76 seaters will certainly grow. skyteam members will grow. Our mainline fleet and block hours may increase in the distant future, but if DALPA continues to bail out management by convincing the sheep to pi$$ away work rules and QOL, our seniority list sure won't grow. just curious. |

rugby isn't a sport its a way of life
Rugby is indeed that. You don't see the concussions in rugby as much, the tackling is so different. Still a lot of injuries, some joint related, but for the most part, the love of the sport keeps people involved. I ran cross country. I am still good friends with most of the guys I ran with, and have great memories. My nephew is on a team out east right now, and from the photos I see on facebook he's having a great time, has a lot of cool friends and no trouble with the girls. The trouble with football is that the concussions come from all kinds of contact, not just helmet to helmet. Somebody can hit you in the gut, and with the head snap, bingo... concussion. The brain sloshes around in the skull, and when you get hit hard enough, it smacks the inside of the skull. No helmet design can prevent it. So it's basically like starting a boxing career when you're 10. You'll be punchy by the time you're 16. The money involved in football is astounding. I doubt we'll see it go away quietly. I still love watching the sport, and I respect those who play. I just hope that anybody who's playing it knows the risks and can live with the consequences. |

Rugby anyone?
British rugby league player Paul Wood suffers ruptured testicle during Grand Final ... and keeps playing! The ruptured testicle eventually swelled to the size of a tennis ball and was later removed during emergency surgery. |
