TSquare should have some good intel after the line check meeting. RA is going to speak there.

This is true. You need to make sure your recs are being sent via delta.com email addresses if at all possible. This will ensure you get max credit for an internal rec. The system they use simply filters out by the delta.com email extension. No human eyes see it (yet) to notice that you have internal recs. That's why it is so important.

I was told by the new hire coordinator (lost his card so don't have a name), that if you send a rec letter directly to him (via a link on the flight ops section of the deltanet) the 'recee' will definitely get a look. Not a guaranteed interview, but they will definitely review the guys file.

He did also said he didn't expect new hires until late next year due to an influx of LT MLOA returnees, such as myself. Also said they will flush the furlough bypass list before hiring off the street. He expected most of the bypass pilots to quit, but some of them will come back.

Oh, and this one, WE WILL GROW.

sure. if you say so.

76 seaters will certainly grow. skyteam members will grow.

Our mainline fleet and block hours may increase in the distant future, but if DALPA continues to bail out management by convincing the sheep to pi$$ away work rules and QOL, our seniority list sure won't grow.

Please go away.

I heard today from a buddy that a Delta rep at a career fair today told him no hiring till 2014, maybe he was being conservative but it doesn't sound good for hiring any time soon. My friends and family are starting to think I'm crazy with the 'Delta's gonna hire next year' line I keep giving them. I know its rough on people at Delta already because they are dealing with total stagnation on the seniority list, but man its starting to feel like the whole 'career' has just vanished right before all of our eyes... ugh. I probably wouldn't have passed the cog test anyway.

Will they? I haven't seen a single additional 76 seater ordered. And with tighter Codeshare and JV rules, how will Skyteam members grow without us doing the same?

You are one miserable person. How do you make it through a day?

The DC9's are now staying through 2014. That's good news for those trying to get hired. The block hour plan for next year hasn't been revealed to the pilots yet, so we haven't officially heard the hiring plans.
