I just flew with the number 2 F/O, he had 140 hrs. for Nov.

Yes, some of that is G/S, but that's why he's the number 2 F/O, and senior to half the Captains.

He's not crying about not moving up, he's loving it! I'm thinking of bidding F/O, I'd be just a little in front of him...but then I'd have to fly a lot more.

The problem with greenslips is, you have to show up...

If there was a 7 day trip that reported at 00:01 on day 1 and released at 23:59 on day 7, we would be all righteously indignant about how it needed to pay at least 35 hours, yet with vacation we accept 22.5? A "week" of vacation gets you an extra 3 days?
There are many reasons I voted no on the contract, but that was one of the biggest. We are still 30 minutes below the crappiest of regional airlines on our vacation pay.

And I'm tired of losing 3 of my vacation days because I'm on reserve. I don't receive 7 actual vacation days. I receive 4. I only receive 7 days of vacation credit.

However, I thought this was fixed in the last contract. For the last 2 or 3 months, I've gotten an EC seat right off. A quick call to the CP Support Center will also get ya a good seat and really answer the question.

Hi Ferd,

Just thought I'd use your post to comment on this subject. I just flew a trip and deviated from DH yesterday. I was able to change my seat to an economy comfort seat via the "seat change" link after you access your seat via your record locator on Travelnet. My FO tried to do it by going direct to delta.com and it would not allow him to do it but he was able to do it the same way I did via "seat change" link on Travelnet.

That's exactly how I do mine, and it works, weeks in advance...but as someone pointed out above, I use the Company Business link to list, not the Crew Travel link, which requires your rotation number, etc. Not sure if that makes a difference, sounds like it might.

Does anyone know where FTB is? Getting into trouble?

That's an easy one.

We cheer for the Georgia dome to implode.

Yep, here's the skinny. Just spoke with someone. If you book company business PS, it opens seat selection to include EC. If you book your DH thru crew travel, you have to be within 24 hours for EC to open up. I'm inside 24 and just made the switch.

Be sure to mention my name, you'll get a great seat in First Class...
