I can think of a few ways the Pilot can disappear from the availability list:

Calling in sick.
Moving x days.

But how would either of these bump up the pilots raw score? I don't think the Pilot went to training (was not scheduled in the bid awards) but somehow disappears and shows up with a higher raw score?

Wouldn't reserve assignments show up on the trip coverage reports? What about covering a trip for another base?

Mil leave might do the same thing - the raw score formula is in the contract, but it's related to how much you're flown vs how many days you have on call left, so a sick call or mil leave will change the raw score, even if you didn't fly. Or a PD or APD will affect it too. I guess ALPA work might change it too, but not sure about that.

Here's the formula:

Reserve assignment weighting = [(A / C) x 75] + [(B / D) x 100] + (E x 5)

It does appear that trip parking has been significantly curtailed - even with a and b crews.
Very glad to see it being curtailed.

Bama WOW! Not a Tide fan, but ND confirms my belief that they were WAY overrated.

Johnso, you're the best. I blocked Drank a long time ago. IMHO, you're an awesome moderator and always fair. Keep on keepin' on.

Hey guys,

Quick question for a vector. For the first time in my career I had to call in sick for training. I've got the flu and its nasty. I see that they debited my sick leave balance, rescheduled me for next month, but didn't pay me for my sick time. Essentially, I lost the 10 plus whatever hours of sick pay. Is that right? If not, who do I call? DALPA? Thanks in advance. Never had to do this in the past.
