Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
No thread required:
AE - Aerospace Engineering (a process Boeing used to use)
VD - Venerial Disease (the itch you cannot scratch)
MD - Medical Doctor (more beaten down than the average line pilot)
DH - Decision Height (the altitude to which you determine what kind of Captian you're flying with... does not apply to Delta, just SWA)
DDA - Derived Decision Altitude (MDA + 50', a source of mass confusion until you pull out the chart)
Mickey D's - McDonalds (great food to get to antagonize the vegan you're flying with)
Heavy D - Rapper (word)

Da bomb- something cool or the name of a really bad rap album by Kris Kross

I think i've done my useless service to extend this great thread for another day. BTW, for those senior to me, please bid to the new category, BOM777B. It has nice layo, junior FA to play with... Single guy's dream come true.
AE question- I was displaced to the ATL M88 B from LAX 767 B. I'm pay protected right now. If I only put in a displacement bid, and someone junior to me (highly unlikely) picks up a 7ER or 73N with an AE bid, do I lose the pay protection? Do I need to put in an AE bid for any 7ER or 73N to protect myself as long as I'd rather have those positions? Thanks in advance.

thats what i've been hearing also. With the pirps, LTD, and new RIGS kicking in we are looking good on the North side. (even with the -200 closure) Next summer we should be sitting pretty good assuming things dont get worse. The Company should have furloughed last year but didnt because of the merger. So far we've made it over the hump, even the pessimists believe the recovery is here (flat) but certainly within the 22 month breakeven point on furlough costs. Combine that with the fact that we're approaching 2 years into the age 65 change and we should start seeing guys drop off within that period of time as well. The merger has likely saved alot of peoples bacon, mine included.

If that was the case you'd be paying way too much for a very limited benefit. DPMA goes for 12 months per event, 24 months lifetime for all forms of disability. You can go to their website and see what it should pay you if you went out.
But I'm an FO and therefore a camelion, one that says right on as I am chowing down if not somewhat wearing mango chicken from that Asian place in terminal B.
I'm not sure how I find the time to be online. I run from the computer like a scolded dog when caught.

If you come back and have used up your full 12 months you can't go back out using the same reason for a period of 24 months.
If you went out for a different reason though it's ok and then you start using your second batch of 12 months.
