AE question- I was displaced to the ATL M88 B from LAX 767 B. I'm pay protected right now. If I only put in a displacement bid, and someone junior to me (highly unlikely) picks up a 7ER or 73N with an AE bid, do I lose the pay protection? Do I need to put in an AE bid for any 7ER or 73N to protect myself as long as I'd rather have those positions? Thanks in advance.

I didn't say they would drop like flies it was meant in terms of retirements but it is more and more likely to happen as guys get closer to 65 though, sad but true.

Yep the static is 50% of us make it to 60. They do not have one from ages 60-65.

If that was the case you'd be paying way too much for a very limited benefit. DPMA goes for 12 months per event, 24 months lifetime for all forms of disability. You can go to their website and see what it should pay you if you went out.

I have and this was a 0 animal product and 0 processed food kind of guy and I so wanted to use the great Homer Simpson line: "If God didn't want me to eat animals he wouldn't have made them out of meat."

But I'm an FO and therefore a camelion, one that says right on as I am chowing down if not somewhat wearing mango chicken from that Asian place in terminal B.

I'm not sure how I find the time to be online. I run from the computer like a scolded dog when caught.

Your good for 12 months. After 12 months then you have to live off the 50%. It really is a great deal.

If you come back and have used up your full 12 months you can't go back out using the same reason for a period of 24 months.

If you went out for a different reason though it's ok and then you start using your second batch of 12 months.

As soon as someone junior to you converts to a higher paying position than your current position, you lose pay protection up to that position. So the answer is yes, is someone junior to you picks up a 767B or higher bid then you lose your pay protection. If someone gets 73NB then your pay protection is only the difference between 767 B and 73N B.
