When you consider that it takes approximately 60-70 pilots to work a full month for each full pay flight loss guy, it's kinda asinine to worry about the people that make sure the phones get answered when you get into trouble.

Standing by for someone to trump my assumption in 3...2...
If you are collecting FPL you are NOT a volunteer.

They are still volunteers, if there is abuse then that is a different story. If that is your concern than push to get rid of the company paid FPL and start donating time for the FPL.

You volunteered to be in the Air Force. You collected pay.

I just disagree with the misconception that FPL is volunteering. If you are getting 92 hours of pay for FPL you have chosen to become a DALPA employee.

Volunteering for a job with pay in the Air Force is somehow different than dropping a trip to perform work for you? What few 92 hour names on that list aren't out of our dues anyway. My taxes did pay for your time at the Air Force though. I also don't see the names you posted about earlier? I'm up for a good DALPA bashing any day of the week but we finally got our DTW resolution to post FPL and you go bashing guys straight away. ***

Go easy on the military vs. union thing bus. Military personnel pay taxes also. And I'm for the DTW resolution and complete transparency.

I wasn't clear that I was saying that because I pay dues that I think the guy works for me, he doesn't, he volunteers for me, he's paid by someone else. He still volunteers. TT in DTW used to answer the phone all the time. I know he didn't get "paid" for the time that we "elected" him to "volunteer" for. Just don't think the term volunteer is that interchangeable when it suits people. I went too far trying to prove a point there with the taxes thing. Union volunteers also pay dues. I shouldn't let an angry deadzoner AF guy get my goat.

Wonder how T & Timbo's houses are today? Final round of the Arnold Palmer Open was suspended today due to severe thunderstorms. Peak gust of 86 mph recorded @ KMCO!

So now I'm an angry deadzoner who collected your tax money as pay while on active duty, huh? I have seen the abuse by people on FPL and don't agree with it, sorry.
