By now it should be clear to everyone that we are now operating under the culture of Northwest Airlines...not the late great Delta Air Lines culture. As such, we need a fNWA type like Ken Watts to enforce every single word of the contract. EVERY SINGLE WORD. Unless and until we enforce every word in the same manner management enforces every word when it's in their interests to do so, then additional protective language will protect nothing.

I agree, Carl. Whatever happened to Ken? Did he retire? What an great knowledgeable guy.

That's just me though.
Notice the dates on our "waiver". Gets the company through the summer.
How convenient.
Seems our MEC is scared of having too much leverage.

I say BRAVO!
I'm going to say this again. Bar, you are a good man and I like you (not in a man crush way...just as a person) but you are deeply conflicted in your allegiance to an organization that doesn't represent you very well. Oh btw I am going to egg your house and steal your car....you can thank me now for communicating my intentions giving you the opportunity to chime in and be represented

Leverage is only required when going against an opponent. DALPA is not an opponent to management, they (we) are a partner with management. That's the experiment we're all in today. We're in a union with "new style" leaders.

Jack, I'm pretty sure Bar was being sarcastic here but forgot to put the sarcastic smiley there. I'm right on this...aren't I Bar?

Not sure I agree. There maybe a pilot that needs money and if Jr the greenies never get that low!!! Until they union says stop flying why should the Jr guy give up income so a senior guy can by a BMW bike??
