Prob trying to make their GSs good.

It is ironic, looking at the MSP category, how many folks out-of-base WS. I suppose they live in MSP... but the company has no incentive to build the category back up if they can get NYC pilots to do MSP flying.

A friend of mine mentioned getting rid of golden days. I kind of agree. I mean golden days are great but if you're out on a trip and you break and you can't get home that day and end up flying on your golden day, that's allowed. (as far as I read it).

How about you touch a day off it's premium pay without consideration to the GS trigger or it's on top of RES gar-run-tee (and based on 5.15 credit).

So the thought is if you roll a day off, it becomes very very expensive.

16 Days Off and ALV+5? What do you think?

Or more importantly, what does Scambo think?

Looks like most airlines are getting hammered.

So probably fear that the government is trying to keep ticket prices down by preventing too many seats being taken out of the market.

US gov't seeks to block AMR-US Air merger

But, but, but....

I thought they deregulated the Airline Industry in 1978?!

We are in the most regulated deregulated industry there is!

The truth is, it'll be approved, just as soon as someone at AA makes a huge Campaign Contribution.

Because they are short of the cap, and too junior to get a greenslip?

Not too junior. They are senior to me and I have already done a green slip.

Then I don't know, maybe they commute and can only pick up the stuff that is easier to commute to?

U beat me to it. Looks like one of their main problems is the new AA would control 69% of DCA. DAL might be chomping at the bit when they are forced to divest some of that 69% and we can take back what we traded in the slot swap from a couple years ago.

and do you know what's just as good as a campaign contribution?

"I'm going to hand you a list of my family and friends you should hire at American in your department for Community Relations. $125k pay plus beneies is a good start, $300k if youd like the merger approved. And im sure youre fine if they only show up never. or just for social engagements or meetings at resorts."
