AEs, 25 reinstatements and no displacements. On the bid we posted 50 7ER First Officer openings and filled
36 leaving 14 unfilled. ATL had six 7ER-B unfilled positions and DTW had eight. Other unfilled positions
included: ATL73NB (6), DTW73NB (2), NYC73NB (31), DTW320B (5), NYC320B (13), ATLM88B (22),
NYCM88B (19) and ATL717B (8). These positions will be filled by new hires and posted on future bids. "

Newhires to the 7ER again! ... in ATL of all places, too. Wow.

Next AE in a few weeks.

What will DAL do about their declining feed? Do they have a plan in place to replace the regional flying that is being lost due to the worsening pilot shortage?

That's taken care of by 50 seaters being parked and the capacity being replaced by 717s.

Today the difference is 19 dollars per hour. That's off higher rates, so adjusted for that it would be like making 40 dollars difference from the MD88 today. That gap went away because we took a huge cut on the 7ER fleet. As I said, we are flying it for what amounts to narrowbody rates.

It's interesting to look at those old pay charts, then factor in the touching trips, 6 weeks vacation for senior guys, 1 for 2, etc... we have a lot to recoup. I know the execs have kept up with inflation, and then some.
The md88 was started in the 86 contract at a low rate as part of the deal for the company to purchase. In most of the follow on contracts including the 91 contract it has been given a larger bump to try and fix the above.

I fly with a lot of guys who are junior to me and a lot older. So, many retirements aren't really going to help me. After all, it's all about me
