This is something Chairman Mao-K should keep in mind. Bowing down every time they want a concession and thinking they will pass along the good will at contract time is foolhardy. It might say Delta Management on the front door but there is an NWA snake inside.
Boyd isn't always right. He's especially not right on this one. Here's a list of the major operating executives.

CEO Richard Anderson was NWA via UHC
President Ed Bastian, Delta
EVP marketingGlen Hauenstein, CAL
EVP HR and Labor Relations Mike Campbell, CAL
EVP Operations Steve Gorman, NWA via Greyhound and Krispy Kreme
SVP Maintenance Tony Charaf, Delta

I think there are 4 pre-merger NWA Board members on the new Delta Board of 12 (Steenland, Slater, Feret, and Bostock)

Current Delta management "DNA" mirrors the relative sizes of the pre-merger airline (5-3), with NWA management taking much more of a "synergizing" hit because they were proportionally larger than pre-merger Delta's system.

Wiggy/Slow,

Is that anything like your mannuals, procedures, paint job, uniforms bidding programs and general good looks are better than ours?

I think you are taking this wayyyyyyy to serious. All we are trying to warn you of, is there is still an old corp culture that came with us that ended most memos with "failure to comply will result in deciplinary action up to and including termination". The good news is most of those guys didn't make the traveling team, just be careful of those that did.

Lighten up boys, it's all good!!

I think that the winglets are a mod. Not sure if the GRF on the 320 would be a new jet or not.
The GTF is a 73 inch fan putting out about 20,000 pounds of thrust. Making it an idea engine for the a319. I highly doubt DAL will do the mod, since the engine will far outlast the frame. I think we are reaching the limit on technology in the aircraft sector, I think the C series will take over the 100 seat market. I doubt boeing or airbus will be able to build a plane that significantly improves on the c series and make it as cost effective.

Note: The current engine on the 737 is a 60 inch fan.

Not if you're on a MadDog with WIFI

I agree, and the fact is that even though DAL has stated they do not necessarily like the C-Series, they will probably realize that they need to order a lot of em.
2022+ is a long time to wait for the next best thing and the narrow body fleets needs updating before then. If we try to wait that long, the cost of maintaining this fleet is going to be an Achilles Heel.

That still does not work for a international arrival.

Well lucky you. It looks about as tight on the 767 as well.

What is with this weekend. Tons of open trips. The last weekend of the month is the same but that makes sense, it is Halloween, what is this weekend?
