Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Just an interesting perspective on that kind of thought. Management EXPECTS that we will fly safely... every day... every flight... all the time, and we HOPE they will do their job and make money for the company. Our batting average MUST be 1.000, and theirs... (acceptably) something less... yet who again has more "value" on the marketplace?
Any of you NYC ER guys looked at the bid pack for next month? If you haven't then I think you're in for a surprise. I know I was. It's a different category than it has been; lots of domestic trips, early starts, one and two day rotations. EWR and LGA trips now. And what's this 4-legs in a day stuff about??? Yikes!

And what's with the 0500 sign-in at LGA... I'll have to ask my Mad Dog buddies how this works. It's gonna be a long winter I think...
They are just finding ways to save money. These are the domestic sign ins that had us layover in downtown or out next to the airport in NYC. Lots of that is now shifting to the ER.

Delta Air Lines Inc. has hired Cushman & Wakefield to list for sale the former Northwest Airlines world headquarters in Eagan.
The building, at 2700 Loan Oak Parkway, is about 266,000 square feet.
The 72-acre site is near the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and interstates 35E and 494. Delta is also marketing an adjacent 36-acre tract along 494 that could be sold separately.
Cushman & Wakefield commercial real estate brokers Terry Kingston, Todd Braufman and Jeff Minea, all in the company’s Eden Prairie office, are marketing the property.
“While Delta will continue to have a significant presence in Minneapolis, we’re fortunate to have this site to attract another corporate user,” said Terry Kingston in a press release. “We have already seen a tremendous amount of interest.”
In June, the Business Journal reported Delta was selecting a real estate firm to sell the former headquarters, which is sometimes referred to as Building A. It has a giant N painted on the roof. Northwest has been the sole occupant since it built the four-story office building in 1985.
Delta is expected to move the employes it has in the old headquarters to other facilities. In Eagan it also has space at:
• A 278,000-square-foot flight training center, which sits on a 65-acre site immediately west of the headquarters; and
• A 335,000-square-foot data center known as Building J, located near Pilot Knob Road about two miles west of the headquarters.
After its 2008 merger with Northwest, Atlanta-based Delta (NYSE: DAL) promised the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) that it would keep 10,000 jobs somewhere in Minnesota until at least 2016.

It has been an ugly summer in Minni. Lots and I mean lots of layoffs in to a horrible job market, and now they have too much space. We do not seem to notice since it has not effected the pilot ranks, but yes, this merger has created a lot of job loss.

The sale of Building A is old news. Building F (the old NWA Flight Ops building)is also going back to the airport.
Building J, which is the data center, and Building C (the old NC/Republic HQ on 494) along with the associated tech ops tower and hangars are going to remain. Last I heard was DAL was moving all of TechOps/Engineering to MSP.
The cargo facility next to Building F will also stay.
Building B, which is the segment along the entrance to the airport is going to remain, at least for the time being. They flattened most of the older hangars, leaving just the large hangars on the end.
