BTW: AZUL is David Needleman's baby, you know, the guy from Morris Air, WestJet, Jetblue and now Azul.

They fly ATRs, EMB 195 and are in the process of getting A330s.
Here is their first A330 in the paint shop:

We better start paying attention when AZUL A330 show up in JFK...

Cheers

Not a fan of Dave Neeleman as far as the low cost airline effects on the industry but gotta give the guy credit for innovation and what he has accomplished. He's started 4 airlines now and pretty much all have been profitable. I was just looking at the A330 order you mentioned and noticed he also has 5 A350-900's on order. So he's ordered/taking delivery of 11 wide bodies. Delta has 10 on order, not including the 787's that have been pushed back and who knows if they will be delivered. Good times.

I do believe he will eventually end up back in NY in some fashion. As an airline, the board of directors weren't too bright booting him out even with the Valentines day screw up.

^^^ This ^^^

I agree with the effect his projects have had on the industry, but he certainly won't win the Ron Allen Airline CEO of the year award ;-)

He's a sharp businessman with a remarkable sense on creating successful businesses.
He also seems to have a tendency to come back to the US after a hiatus oversees. I have a feeling we better keep a close eye on Azul's international expansion.

Perhaps he will engineer something with JetBlue akin to a reverse takeover.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer...
We better be watching his moves.

The other picture was definitely an ATR landing. But as incredible as one of the visuals are on one of the 717 sims is in ATL, it can't match that.
Ha, they got nothing on the Austrians ;-)

Quick question for some of Delta's latest and greatest....If your starting Initial Qual training halfway through the month, does it make sense to bid a reserve line from a credit point of view? Or is is basically a wash either way?
