As a "Major" airline Pilot group we should not even consider these. Yes, I know that "some" Pilots want them but we need to be protected from "ourselves" and basically do what is best for the "whole" Pilot group - you know the "Spock" thing from one of the Star Trek movies.
This is yet another example of how outsourcing harms the mainline pilots' bargaining position.

Then a question we should ask ourselves is, why ALPA allows these operations at other airlines under the Delta brand?

If we allow management two standards at the same airline, management is always going to want to take the less restrictive (safe ?) standard and apply it across the board.

On kind of a slow news day, I found the perfect visual description of the Boeing / Douglas merger.

I watched most of that Bears game, that looked like a college game with the wildness and penalties, then woke up this owning to see, da Bears.

When it comes to people wanting CDOs is this going to be like five day trips where guys demand it, the company makes them and then nobody wants those particular five days and they just end up being flown by reserves.

After watching the first half, and the start of the second half, and given the history of the two teams, I am ashamed...ashamed to say, that I turned it off. Seeing them beat the 49ers, coached by the former Bears QB, a Michigan alum, on opening night in Santa Clara, would have been life affirming.

Oh well. Say, does anyone have any idea when we're getting this Windoze wonkware LT brick? I have needs... going to be on VA ave for a while and want to be able to communicate, type stuff, be able to access Delta training stuff and the like. And as long as it takes me to do my monthly bids, is it possible that Initech will, at long last, release a bidding desktop program that works on something other than full windows? Such as RT? I know, I should be asking "Is This Good For The Company?"

Maybe it's time for a Macbook Air with Parallels. So how do I get a copy of Windows? (excuse me, threw up a little bit)

Default Will and Testament

Does anyone have any good information on setting up your Will? Discounts? Recommended Lawyers or services for a Delta Employee? Anything through Delta Perks?

Thanks.

Yep, I think people have these "fond" memories of a DTW-TVC-DTW CDOs or similar ones, where the trip was 40 minutes each way, into the hotel in FNT by a reasonable time and got 6 hours in the hotel then 40 minutes back, home by 8:30

That's not the kind of flying the proposed language in the TA would permit.

You can find the info on the DeltaNet under Employee Info / Delta Perks / Insurance / Legal Services.

It is a great deal. You get a will for absolutely free. Everyone should have a will.

One caveat: I wouldn't go through them if you have some highly complex estate planning you are trying to do. They are great at the basics but if you have trusts or generation skipping bequests or a QDRO that binds a defined benefit pension or anything like that then you probably already have a lawyer anyway.
Here ya go. It was posted previously in the thread, what, you didn't read all 168,000+ posts?
