Number of pilots senior to you with AE bids for ATL 717B |

Tim,
I may be here for another year, but I hope that's not life. RV |

No you do not. You only get PB days for GS or IA.
YS'ing on XX days is generally equivalent to working for free. An exception would be if you were going to exceed guarantee for the month. Also, under previous RSV rules, guys would sometimes try to "fill up" before the end of the month (think Xmas or thanksgiving) by YSing on XX days. This is very difficult to do now with ALV+15 and the bucket system.

Are you talking about the numbers you see on this page?
Number of pilots senior to you with AE bids for ATL 717B BTW, I fully plan to bid what I want. I was just extremely surprised to see such interest in the 717. I thought my main competition would be those who were 'non-vol'd' to NYC because of their SSN, most of whom I am senior to. I am sure there are a few domiciled in NYC who live in ATL and are betting on the come that some of the summer-off seat-lock guys will be leaving. I just figured they'd wait an AE or two to see how things settle out and not jump immediately back in. Worst (non black swan) case I eat NYC until my 1-year seat lock expires and then I'd probably be bidding straight to a line on another NB. *shrug* My NYC schedule is pretty good next month so it's not like the end of the world. |

I've been on the sideline for a few months. How's 48 in DXB nowadays? |

Did I understand your post correctly? I thought you only had to hit ALV, not ALV + 15 to fill up.
On reserve, you are "full" when you hit your guarantee. |

Thanks. I was pretty sure I was misreading the reply but the whole ALV+15 threw me. Also copy guarantee and not ALV.
In the past a rsv was considered full at ALV-2:00. You couldn't be assigned a trip to exceed ALV. Now they can take you much higher than in the past, hence my comment about YS'ing on RSV not really being worth it anymore. |
Ah, yes. ALV+15. A c12 concession that was sold by Dalpa as only being needed in international categories.
Let's learn from the past and not get fooled again. |
