Can we jumpseat on the 330 when they are doing 4 pilot legs? Any 330 types out there know about this route leg and the cargo loads etc. that would necessitate them pulling nonrevs off?

Any info would help, thanx mucho.
In iCrew it looks like you can book the jumpseat, in fact, some one is listed for it yesterday. Don't know how it would actually work - ie, where you would sit for T/O though.

I did it JNB to ATL on the load optimized 777. There has to be a seat in the back. I loved that middle seat for 17+ hours.

Is that from HKG to SEA, or just to NRT?

There should only be 2 pilots for HKG-NRT, with two empty j/s. If you can't get on the SEA directly, Jumpseat to NRT then j/s from there to LAX, SEA, JFK or ATL.

So why are you doing regular GS's, when you should all be GSWC only??

Greed, that's why.

What is ground pay? I see they want to add it to the definitions as work required before and after a flight. Would this be flight pay extended by 1.5 hours every duty period? 1 hr show prior to first flight and .5 hr duty off after last flight.

Ground duties from sign in to block out and block in to release or rest. It's for the negotiators to come up with it and if agreed the tekkies to program it. I've been hearing this concept since I've been hired in '10. Would be nice to see it, as well as flight pay from door close to door open.

Maybe because the Greens almost always go to the top 50% the majority of the time, and the Jr. peeps never get a chance?

Establish pilot option to waive 12 hours between rotations

To me this is a consesion for productivity. Any other opinions?
It allows more options for those who want to do back-to-back trips. I'm guessing commuters who want more options to do fewer commutes asked for it.

I don't think it's a productivity issues as much as a quality of life issue. If the minimum is 10 hours it sucks for anyone who live in base but has a significant drive, if the minimum is 12 hours it eliminates some rotation combinations and possibly causes more commutes, with a pilot option you can do what you want.

Without any change to the WS/SWP rules you will be flying the same amount of credit per months whether there is a pilot reducible time between rotations or not.
