CG. Awesome. Thanks very much.
I live in MSP and he, in LNK. While there's plenty of novelty beers (that I enjoy) in these parts - not much in the whiskey variety.
So what's all the rage in SLC area? you like it? no doubt I'm entirely junior to you but my wife/boys/I love to ski. Pondering (yes I'm a Viking fan) the move. Do they sell homes in PC for under $750?!

I live down in the valley but still only 25 mins up Big/little Cottonwood Canyons for the "greatest snow on Earth".
Like everywhere else, SLC has its challenges, but it is a great place to live and raise kids, especially if you enjoy the outdoors and love to ski, as long as you're not a Seahawks fan!?

SLC is the best base at Delta (my opinion)...that's why it's so senior! Park City is base housing "west" and definitely has opportunities for under $750..and awesome schools..check out realtor.com to compare.

Slc can be a great place for a family and a nightmare depending on where in the valley you chose to live. Do your research! I know plenty that are ostracized by neighbors for not being in the same club! The closer to downtown and park city the better.
Another DH dev Q: I have a one leg DH tonight with a 33hr layover. I only live two hrs away from the layover city. Can I deviate and instead drive there tomorrow as long as I'm in place when it comes time for me to operate? Will I still get full credit? Thanks!

If you're a line holder you just have to notify scheduling. If reserve you have to ask (I've never been denied.) The value of the trip will be the same if you deviate, but per diem won't start until you start after the 33 hour layover fyi.
Backend deviations don't require permission for REG or RES. You still need to let them know.
Check out the scheduling reference handbook on dal.alpa.org for an excellent, detailed explanation of the finer points. I keep a copy on the surface and find myself referring to it on a weekly basis for one thing or another.
Thanks! Regular line holder. I got the auto call early this am saying the trip changed. We were originally set to operate tonight but it was changed to a DH, so I'm hoping to spend one more night at home and still get paid for a 5 day even though it may turn out to be a 3-day if I leave later tomorrow instead.

Have your significant other drive you there and make it a party.
They did. It's called being inducted into the Chairman's Club. Anyone who has won that award was allowed to go as a reward. Wanna know why not many line pilots ever get inducted? Because it's other line pilots who need to nominate them and none of us can be bothered to fill out the paperwork!
Not really a response to your post f10, it just got me thinking.
