When you are awarded a new vacation via any process (initial vacation bid, move up etc.), you will receive a pop up message when you sign in to icrew.

Is a position freeze from conversion date or AE award date? How can someone tell when they are eligible to bid another aircraft?

Thanks

The first conversion date in the AE must be "AFTER" your freeze (end) date.

Ref. - Crew Resources Monthly Update - January 2016 (posted 07DEC15)

"AE Bidding – “My first year seat lock expires 16 March 2016. Am I allowed to bid a new aircraft on this
current Nov AE or does the entire conversion window have to take place after my seat lock expires?”

- The first conversion date must be after your one year lock ends.

The Red Iguana is some of the best Mexican food around... good mole. Squatters is always fun too.

Thanks.
Adding a two year seat lock for new hires will probably drive another no vote. That would be a large staffing consession.

I wonder what the percentage of pilots is that bids out of their aircraft in the second year? I'm not planning on it. This might be better used as leverage for gains in other places than an instant no vote.

Cant give you any numbers but based on how much and how fast Ive moved up in rel seniority Id say its pretty high on the mad dog.

I think one year is enough but agree I dont know that raises to instant no level.

For me it would have to be huge gains in other areas to give up any staffing consessions. That's how I feel and most of the guys I talk to about it.

Disagree!

Why do you even care if a new hire has a 2 yr seat lock?

It's only a "concession" to a new hire.

I think you're just looking for needles in order to vote NO, regardless!
