IMHO - If guys want to upgrade quickly - great for them, anyone hired by DAL should do great. If guys want to camp out in the right seat - great for them, more opportunity for other guys to upgrade quickly.

I fly with our most senior F/O's every trip, some have more than 30 years seniority and can hold a line as a 777 Captain, yet they prefer to fly 777 F/O, drop LOE trips, fly green slips, work less, make more than some of the 777 Captains. Many have already 'been there done that' on the narrow body domestic Captain gig, and got sick of putting up with the crap that is domestic narrow body flying.

They have done the math and it just doesn't make economic sense for them to go fly narrow body Captain (again). They are either never going to upgrade (again) or wait until they can move from the right seat to the left seat of the wide body jet they are already on.

There are probably 50% of my new hire class, 26 years ago, who have never upgraded to the left seat!

They are flying ultra senior WB f/o, enjoying all the bennies of those positions!

Also, 1/3rd of our class has moved back to WB f/o for the very same reasons.

I might entertain the idea of A350 B as my retirement position, if I can earn (almost) as much as I do now!

If you get them electronically, looks like between Jan 18th and 22nd - looking back at past years.

If you look too soon, you can download a previous tax document, but it will charge you. The most recent one there is no charge (every year someone asks that question, "Why is Delta charging me for my W-2!!!"

I just saw one of the most beautiful greenslips I've ever seen.

3-day GS. 1 leg to overnight. 30 hour layover. Double deadhead home. However, you could just iron man it (and I think they did) it back on first flight of the morning. 31.5 hours of pay on 1 leg and gone less than 12 hours.

That's how scheduling could get some trips covered when a 2-day GS just isn't enough. I've got a 1 leg trip....... I'll give you 30 hours at the hotel and a deadhead wink wink home.
