Couldn't find this using the search function. Have any LAX based pilots used "Kin Care" for a new child? What's the process for it? Similar to regular FMLA?

There it is! Thanks, bookmarked it

Found out what happened. Trip signed in at 2345 on the first when I was a regular so I couldn't yellow slip it. It operated on the second when I was a reserve so I couldn't white slip it and the green slip that got it was senior to me.

Weirdness happens:D

Once you've already been selected for SC there is no way via icrew to say you want to be used 1st on SC. You could always call and ask to be used but my guess is CS will likely use whomever is the best fit for a particular trip (based on days of availability vs. trip length). In my brief experience with commuting to SC, CS had a plan and I wasn't privy to it.

Hey guys question about CQ. Am I supposed to book my own flight or do they book it for me? Also is this a DH or company business? I see on the CQ bid package they have flights listed on the training profile. Do I have to take this flight or could I do an earlier or later one?

You book it as Company Business, your choice of flight...

The flights listed are from your base to ATL and back. If you don't live in base, you can book a flight from your home airport, or change the current flight if you do live in base. You just go to travel net>company travel and book your flight.

Double check this but I'm pretty sure I'm correct.

Thanks for the info. I'll just get comfortable and wait for a call.

My experience with this so far, is that a short call is the ace up their sleeve. They will slip it if they have more than a couple hours and save the SC for the under 2 to 3 hour disaster.

Like I said, I'm new at this too but I've yet to get called out as a SC and watched green slips go out.

I thought delta was going with the CS series instead of the 190, but I saw on the FAA registration website that they registered a erj190. Are they getting both a/c?

They are obligated to take them as part of the 737 deal with Boeing. Ed says they are marketing them and hope to sell them at a profit.
