If 15% of your income exceeds that amount, you get the amount over 35000 as normal taxable income. If you are over 50, or turning 50 this year, you can put in an additional 6000 in pre-tax catch-up contributions that does not count against the 53000.

Outstanding advice. I'd also suggest reviewing an after-tax (Roth) contribution as an option to the 18K pre-tax. Roth accounts give you more estate planning options, tax free growth and the option to pull from a retirement account that won't increase your taxable income like pulling from a pre-tax retirement account does.

Outside of your Delta plan, if you do not have a traditional IRA, look into a back door Roth IRA. If you have a traditional IRA already, the backdoor Roth gets more complicated.

If one needed to abuse sick leave while currently on a rotation, do they call crew scheduling or crew tracking?
Schedulers aren't currently answering the phone.

Once a trip starts, trackers take the abuse.

Thanks. Thought that was right. Also, do you know if I need to get permission from CP or Duty pilot to nonrev back to base if on sick leave?

They should deadhead you back to base. If you commute deviation is allowed to get home.

Technically you're supposed to. I usually skip that phone call. Never heard a word for non-revving home after calling in sick. Do not jumpseat home though.

This is correct. They have to build a dh back to base to make it a legal rotation but then they can book you a deviation.

Does anybody else have trouble with deltanet when accessing it via the tablet? Whenever I log in with the surface the link to access "my division" never shows up? Is there a workaround for this?

Hold the tablet like a frisbee while one of your friends chambers a round of 12 guage birdshot. Fling the tablet up as high as you can at a high oblique angle while your friend shoots it in the center of the birdshot pattern.

Its a better solution than hitting yourself in the head with it.

The "pre-setup" link of Deltanet on our tablets does not work with the new Deltnet. It logs you in, but its not compatible.
You must open the internet browser and manually type deltanet.delta.com.
