If you live out of state, there is a form letter in CPO that exempts you from paying Cali taxes, unless there are other circumstances...

Might be worth a check....

I think this is incorrect. I believe if you are based somewhere, that state's FMLA laws cover you. I do agree calling the CP office is a good starting point.

Some B's are starting to show up via front door

What is far worse is that we can't use sick time for a situation like that. That is absolutely morally wrong.

it's some sort of disability tax or something, there is no way to get out of paying it.

You must have adequate coverage to be able to use your PB days.

Scoop

Judging by the Oct Reserves Available, PB days are looking pretty useless at this point. Oh well, more 3:15 vacation days. Yay!

On the Wide Report (for FO at least), some of the rotations have a little plus sign in the top right corner. What does this represent?

Is that just a MN thing?

I have used "state sick", which is what the company calls it, from NV and I am based in LAX. All that matters as far as I know is that you are based in the state.

It is where you are based. Its an employer obligation to an employee that works in MN

I looked at all the planes on the FO side in ATL. Didn't write it down and my memory is just meh but here's what I recall.

777 -- 100% blue days
765 and 717 -- mostly blue days (go figure, 717 blue days...)
330, 73n, and 320 -- mostly blue days except weekends
7er and m88 -- almost no blue days

I've got 29 PB days burning a hole in my pocket but for now it looks like I'll be eating those for vacation.
