Correct. But with the WS pickup limit of ALV + 15 how often does that come into play? In fact I had a particularly clever pilot once tell me that he used PB days to drop a trip... then white slipped the trip he just dropped! I think I bought him a beer just for the cool points.

Thanks. Just so I understand this correctly, they trips are dropped with pay and credit (still applied?)

Yes that is correct.

Does anybody know if FMLA is based on the state in which your based or where you commute from?

That's what I thought, but I'm getting conflicting info from the union and company. Is there any place in our pwa or on delta net that can explain it to me. My wife is having a c-section and I'm being told that I can't use sick time for it and I'm based in msp!!!

We need a me too clause for all bases for these things. Its flat out not right that some pilots get a dramatically better benefit from the same negotiated CBA. Great for them, but everyone should get what they get.

It's based on state law and last I heard California and Minnesota are the two that have pilot bases that let you use your sick leave for a family member.

Here's a link to the Minnesota statute. Seems pretty clear to me, but what do I know.

I would call and speak directly with the CP office in MSP and with Karen Brown Fleck at the Union. I don't think you're going to like the answer. I think you need to be a resident of Minnie paying taxes.

.....or otherwise, all you LAX based guys/gals would be paying income tax in Cali, even if you don't live there!
