7 years here, and the first communication I got from DL was an interview invite.

What Mike said was right on.

I was afraid of the silence answer...since all I have heard is crickets...not knowing if it is good enough or bad enough is nerve wracking!!!

Don't let the application just sit there, update it at least once a month with new flight times and any new skills. Re-read it, make sure it's perfect with spelling, grammar, etc.

The company can see how often you update it, more updates the better generally.

Also, don't keep it to yourself. Get many, many eyes looking at it and reviewing it.

Some advice you will like and you'll incorporate it into your app. Some advice won't fit your 'style' but it'll make sense and you'll incorporate it. Still other advice won't make sense/won't seem logical to you and you should feel free to not use it. It's YOUR application.

Everyone who sees your app will have an opinion; measure the source and decide for yourself what advice to incorporate.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but it's something recruiters and Delta's app reviewers will absolutely notice so I'll put it out there.

Delta Air Lines. Three words. That's the correct name. It's a small thing that shows attention to detail.

Working on my airline apps addendum for Delta and come across these two questions. I have only ever had one failure during any of my training in flight school or at my current airline. This failure was my final stage check for my PPL at a 141 school. Which of these questions should I disclose this under? or should I list it under both and just let them decide where it applies?

Have you ever been the subject of an evaluation board or been removed from flight status, downgraded, or failed any portion of flight training either civilian or military?

Have you ever failed ANY checkrides (military or civilian) including phase checks, proficiency checks, FAA check rides, or line checks?

Put it under the second question. It's a phase check failure, not a failure to complete a training program. It shouldn't have any significant affect on your chances either.

With our failed effort with Avianca and Korean air's current financial woes it seems like the time is right for a possible equity stake and JV and for us to establish an ICN hub-------just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the help! I'm not too worried about it hurting my chances, I just want to be as honest and accurate as possible.

What Dash8pilot said. If you wrote Delta Airlines anywhere you will not get a call.

Imagine how tough it would be if there wasn't a pilot shortage.
