In (my) theory that should cycle thru dropping days from the end of the month and I should get the latest one available. Yes? By far my biggest priority is training in the second half of the month. Don't really care about about Sim periods etc. Thanks,

I'm one of those guys that don't do that. Usually I just don't care when I go but this time I do! Want to go in my early month but only in the second half. Heck, I had to read the CQ Bidding Guide just to find out where to put a training bid in and once I got on the right page, figuring what icons to use and how to enter a simple prefer off one line bid took, well lets just say longer than it should have....

I sure hope the company that owns Easybid retains its interface with PBS...

Thanks Everyone! It's appreciated.

The 330A position was going early for almost everyone in the recent past. That is no longer the case. I suspect you can push it to August if you want. Put avoid voluntary training first then list the specific pairings you want after that if they are going to force you early.
I hope however you put golden days over the 4th.

Denny,

Maybe I am not understanding you but don't you mean "below the avoid training line?" If you bid rotations above the line it will try to give you the rotations in the order listed. If it can give you any of these it will never even "see" the avoid training line.

Any recommendations for a good flight school on the south side of ATL? I'm not 100% against Falcon Aviation, but they've got quite a few bad reviews (including aircraft incidents) and if it turns out my son isn't as interested as he claims, it looks pretty hard to get your money back once the program begins. The guy who taught me to fly was just a young adult trying to build hours and I feel like he was an excellent 1st instructor; however, there are also a lot of young pilots out there who have no business teaching but do because that's a means to an end for them. Very difficult to shop for a flight school, so any help would be appreciated.

I've probably been unclear. I WANT to go to training in my early month (July) if I can do it in the second half of the month. That's why I say above the avoid training line.

As a side note, I always seem to go in my early month because I'm so junior in category. If everybody senior to me in their early month bids below the line, I automatically go to training. I've got two 6-day trips totaling 75:30 in the second half of June. 28 days from the start of the first one is about 13 July. Gonna bid reserve and be on call thru 12 July and start off days on the 13th. I don't want to get training 1-12 July. Trying to head that off.

And Sailingfun, yes I bid my golden training days over the 4th awhile ago.

Ok guys I'm having password problems. Seems like it happens every time I need to update my password on icrew.

I get the notice that says "your password is about to expire" please update. So I enter in the new password and then it all goes down hill from there. Deltanet still allows me to login using the old password. But icrew home and icrew won't let me login with either the old one or the new one. What is the deal?!? Do you guys have these same issues every 90 days?!

Sure. I have the same problem with my mortgage, Fidelity, credit cards, utilities, college fund ---- oh wait. I don't.

It's the price we pay. (I laugh so as not to cry.)

Seriously -- make sure your Surface is turned off at home. That's usually when I have log-in problems on my other devices. Of course, Delta IT has never "heard of that."

Don't your change your password on iCrew. Go into deltanet -> my accounts (icon in the upper right) -> Security and Privacy -> change password. I haven't had an issue yet doing it this way.

That's a good thing. I have seen very senior pilots forced to train over a holiday because they failed to cover it with golden days and everyone junior did. Your bid is easy. Bid the rotations for July in the order you want then put in the avoid voluntary training. After that put the rest of the options you don't want in the least damaging order.

Probably not what you're looking for just for a private or intro thing, but check out Middle Georgia State. Fairly robust flying program and it should be as affordable as it gets these days.

I just put my bid in. Nine patterns available and nine pilots to go to training (8 early, 1 must go). So I will be going to training in July.

Everyone, thanks for the help!
