Yup....you are correct, thanks for clarifying. On your AE preference, you elect to (or not) retain vacation in lieu of qualification training thereby waiving any pay protection if a junior pilot is trained and converted before you because your qual training was pushed later in order to honor your vacation.

Unless the company decides to not honor the "retain vacation" request. ;)

Thanks all for the information!

Base transfer only, say NYC to ATL, no change to category. Would one retain their previously assigned vacation dates?

Question using an APD.
If on reserve can I use it to drop a weekend, or does it only work for a specific day? I’d like to have Saturday and Sunday off, but didn’t know if they would only honor 1 day. Thanks! Actually just found in the contract, looks like up to four consecutive reserve on call days. |

Currently, I bid for reserve.... but according to PBS Wide report, no more reserve available and was awarded a line for June.
Just looked at ICREW, and was assigned reserve for June according to ICREW. Has this happened to anyone before? |

But because we are pilots, we want our bid results NOW!! and complain when we don't get it. Sometimes it is better to just let the process run, and if it takes the PBS process a little longer (though still contractually compliant) it is better than having to perhaps scramble and fix things later in the game. |

Not sure of your category but at least one category in ATL is all messed up. I won't gab further but give it a day or two before you make plans based on what is in iCrew. This is why guys need to be patient and let the company and ALPA overseers take their time on this stuff. Contractually, the company has until 1800 on the 17th to get these schedules into DBMS. They have never not made the deadline.

Just for the record, I wasn't %$#&'n actually just pleasantly pleased that I had reserve in ICREW despite what the PBS reports said. I've never heard of the transition to ICREW that dramatic, ie between lineholder vs reserve. Either way I will come to terms with what's been awarded and begin work to fix as best I can on the morning of the 20th. Editors note: Just noticed that ICREW June schedule is locked down again..... so probably just a temp bit of what could've been, had it not been for 'denial mode'. |
