My neighbor’s brother’s friend’s uncle’s dog says that’s unlikely. Esp since TSA numbers are trending back down as cases of COVID grow exponentially and even skeptics come to the realization that maybe this thing might be fairly contagious.

I've given up on being negative or positive. I just am. Every day brings something new, so what's the point of being pessimistic or optimistic right now?

Not a mgmt apologist, but didn’t they say something about a “false start” coming out of this? Did I read somewhere that SWA is rethinking their “full schedule by Sep“ game plan?

I think the national strategy, especially now that the death rate is down, is to achieve herd immunity through mass exposure before the Nov election, while keeping the economy barely afloat through people who are content with the health risks, masks/no mask/distancing/whatever.

In other words, it’s gonna be a while before we see a financially meaningful and sustained recovery of the air travel sector.

RE: SWA. You could be right. Not what I'm hearing from budros there in Dallas.

Also , didn't Breeze just apply for Compass' certificate?

I still think this thing is over in November. It'll lose its political lift. This will be done and the sheeple will move on to the next crisis du jour.

That'd be awesome for everyone. I hope the rest of the globe will synch up with our domestic political timeline then, to be over this thing in four months.

Ha it'll be over the morning after Biden wins. The panic porn, fear, laser focus on numbers and rare outlier deaths will abruptly turn into stories of hope, understanding the virus isn't as awful as first believed, the sudden unearthing of all of these studies from other countries showing efficacies and herd immunity and how we're beating it.

This. Take a look at what is happening in Israel after they opened their schools. I think we will be in a different place with covid-19 in November. We will see if it is better or worse.

Very off topic but since this has become kinda catchall thread, thought I'd ask here.

I'm looking at options for some kind of high speed internet in a rural area. Xfinity says they service the area but after checking with them, they say my house is too far away from a hub and the signal would be too degraded so they don't service my address. No DSL providers that I can find either.

The only two options I can come up with are Viasat and Hughes Net. I don't like either one. I'm trying to be able to stream Netflix/PrimeTV. I might even be convinced to pay the price but the upload/download speeds (in my area) of these two options suck! I've also looked into using a hotspot from a phone company such as ATT but it's not really viable for other than surfing the internet.

Wondering if the collective might have some ideas. Thanks,

Denny

Denny, look into KVH. They do SAT internet/TV/comm for boats and RV's. Pretty neat stuff. You can get various plans and receivers. These are the units you see on the cruise ships and mega yachts. But they also are scalable down to the little guy.

So Denny, for the multi billionaires like yourself that need to stay connected - around the globe - I would take a look. Just need power and a place to mount it. Here's the website:
