Lots of HVC's figured out how to work from home. City folks are moving to the burbs. Might change the industry for some time.

I didn’t say you shed a tear for them. I don’t either. You’re correct they don’t have the same tie we have to the company, although I would like to think their success or failure would affect their future job prospects. Easy to not sweat when you have made millions though.
My point was more along the lines of your contending the “China flu” was their wet dream because they can come after our contract. I doubt that is such a wonderful situation for them. Enjoy your retirement. I’m sure I’ll manage through the decimation of my QOL. It’s all down hill from here in the short term. Paid to stay home beats either option the UNAs are facing come 10/1 but I’m hoping to reduce the uncertainty in life by returning to a flying category. Besides, I've been beat up enough in this industry. I've been furloughed twice, before I came to rest at DAL. This is an outstanding pilot group. That list of VEOP takers is a who's who of just flat out, quite simply, outstanding people and fantastic leaders and aviators. I've flown with many of them, proud to have been able to share the flight deck with some giants. To me, our legacy at DAL is just that - the pilots truly make the difference at our airline. I can say that because I was at another major before I hired on here. Yes, your QOL is gonna take a hit, management is coming for it, they smell the blood in the water. Fight them at any point you can. They will learn the hard way, again, that it's the Delta Pilots that are the Delta difference. |

One of my trigger points in my decision matrix to retire was leaving a seat for a UNA. I sure hope that happens.

Nothing changes unless we vote for it to change. Change my mind. Pay, QOL, etc. All of it is contractual.

It's VJ Day! Too much going on to recognize those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Crazy world.
