Ok, first time in 32 years I’ve had a trip just go NOOP. Trip was supposed to leave on the 14th. I understand enough of 23k to know I can be assigned recovery flying during the 6 hours after my scheduled report and that it has to get me back within 4 hours of my scheduled trip.
Here’s the question. I have a white slip in covering now until the 28th. If I get a white slip that leaves on the 13th, will I be paid the hours that fall within the NOOP’d trip? I’m pretty sure the answer is yes but thought I’d ask the brain trust!
I guess a corollary question is will I even get a white slip since I’m subject to 23k assignment for 6 hours on the 14th?
Edit: Also, if I get a white slip that conflicts with the 23k recovery window, will I lose the pay for the NOOP’d trip?
Thanks for any help.

You can request a Recovery Slip for earlier or later on the month if is at least 50% of the original value and will get paid the higher.

Try plugging a trip into the rules auditor.

Also be aware that a trip that is 23k goes towards the WS pickup limit even if there is no recovery flying.
Gonna be awhile before I head to class yet, but wondering what headsets folks are using on the 220? Is it an intercom situation or good ol' open ear Telex worthy?

New to the swap with pot...trying to swap trip last week of month. Deny due to waiting till next month schedule release. Should I PD then WS?
Thanks guys. I called crew scheduling lat night after I posted and she said the same thing. I took out my white slip and will re-enter it after the recovery window on the 14th.

I don’t think you need to pull the Whiteslip. It won’t award anything that conflicts. Highly recommend Widgets works trip alerts. Getting immediate notice when trips came into open time made me at least 6 figures in income over the years and allowed me to work fewer days. It does cost 7.95 a month and I found many pilots unwilling to pay that.
